Bio: Not only is she famous for her colorful, fun Guinnea Hen paintings and unique bird acrylic paintings, Gwen is known around Hernando as a "very crafty lady". She is one of the DeSoto Arts top gallery sellers in her art and hand crafted scarves.
Vicky is the current Executive Director of DeSoto Arts Council, having taken on this position in October 2010. She works with the volunteer teams that make everything happen at the arts council from visual art shows to the outdoor concert stage located at the DeSoto Arts gallery building in Hernando. She also oversees the DeSoto Arts Council community grant programs.
Vicky's interest in art goes back to when she was very young. After 11 years as a video production studio owner and 16 years in corporate HRD, Vicky returned to her original dream of being an artist. She has been featured with “The Desoto Divas” at Gallery 477 in Memphis.
Bio: Janice has been an accomplished painter for many years. Her landscapes are often a cross between Impressionism and Realism. She's a native of Michigan but calls DeSoto County her home. Janice can be found on FaceBook or via email.
Tonya 's style ranges from whimsical animals to abstract landscapes. She primarily paints in acrylics. By painting nearly every day, Tonya makes art a major part of her life.
In addition to her fine art, she is the proprietor of Paint From the Heart Studios, a "paint party" business. This is her way of sharing the joy of painting with people who never thought they could use a brush...and have great fun doing it.
