Volunteers are the heart and soul of the DeSoto Arts Council. We would not, could not exist without volunteers. You can help this dynamic organization continue its important work in many ways.
The DeSoto Arts Council offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, depending on your interests, skills, and availability. Whether you become a docent for the DeSoto Arts Center, help with a mailing or special event, your contribution will make a difference. Volunteering provides many educational and social opportunities. One of the best benefits is the opportunity to learn more about art.

Docent Program
The DeSoto Arts Center docent program is seeking adults from diverse backgrounds who have a passion for art, enjoy meeting people, and leading tours of the art center. An art background is not necessary.
Special Events
Welcome and register guests, assist with activities during evenings or weekend events and programs throughout the year.
Administrative
Assist in the DeSoto Arts Council office, usually during weekdays. This includes bulk mailings, data entry, creating databases, answering phones, and assisting in the gift shop.
