The DeSoto Arts Council seeks to heighten the DeSoto County community's awareness and interest in the arts.

Through the DeSoto Arts Council's many endeavors, the organization stimulates increased participation in the arts, integrates art into people's everyday lives, advances community support of the arts, and uses the arts to affect community unity and change throughout DeSoto County, Mississippi. More specifically, the council provides numerous opportunities for the many diverse communities to interact with, appreciate, learn about and become consumers of the arts through interaction with artists, ever-expanding educational programs, and special events.
